Mouthguards and concussion
Here at Canberra Dental Care we are all about protecting teeth from damage. While we are here if you need us after an injury, we would much rather help you look after you teeth.
Injuries happen, no one sets out to deliberately damage their teeth…at least we hope not!
If you play contact sport there is a risk of injury to your teeth. That’s why we recommend wearing a proper, fitted mouthguard.
We were very interested to read that at the current Women’s Rugby World Cup in the UK there is something exciting happening with mouthguards. They are now fitted with LED lights that can provide information about head injuries.

While we don’t have this technology in our mouthguards yet – this is an exciting development to watch for the future of mouthguards.
