COVID -19 Update October 2020

Attendance for your appointment

We are fortunate at Canberra Dental Care that most people who attend are there for an appointment. This means if we need to do contact tracing we can simply use our appointment book to ascertain who was in the surgery. However, for those that don’t have an appointment we are following the advice from ACT health. We have registered with the ACT Government ‘Check in CBR’ app. You can register with the app by either downloading the app and checking in with our code 938533. Or you can snap a photo of our QR code which is prominently displayed.

If you don’t have your phone with you we do have a paper register you can sign instead.

Latest advice on appointments
We are monitoring the situation in both Victoria and NSW closely. We ask that if you have been in Victoria or a NSW hotspot in the last 14 days please phone to reschedule your appointment.
NSW
We ask that you apply common sense to attending for your appointment if you have been to NSW. If you have been to a hot spot or anywhere where there have been positive cases please reschedule your appointment.
Victoria
The advice in relation to Victoria remains the same but we do ask that even if you have travelled to regional Victoria that you follow the blanket rule that has been applied.
General health
We remind you that even if you haven’t been to Victoria or Sydney that you take the ongoing risk seriously. We remind you that if you have any of symptoms such as a fever, sore throat, breathlessness, cough or fatigue please contact us to reschedule your appointment. This also includes if you have been in contact with a suspected case of COVID-19. It is vital that we stop the spread and ask you to take your part in this seriously.
If you have any concerns please contact our reception staff during business hours.
Available treatments
Our dentists and hygienists are available. They are able to perform all dental treatments. Level 1 restrictions impose additional screening measures when you attend for you appointment. Our reception staff will guide you through what is required when you attending, primarily keeping 1.5m between people and sanitising your hands.  We ask that, where possible, you refrain from bringing non-patients with you. When you enter the surgery you will be asked to sanitise your hands again and rinse with mouthwash.
We are able to take on line bookings if you need to make an appointment.
We are committed to keeping us all safe.  By following the rules and exercising caution we can beat this!
